Urge Congress to fund the VA today!

Dear Legion Family,

Congress is still on recess, spending time in their districts meeting with constituents and campaigning for reelection. But as August wears on, the clock is ticking on a $3 billion shortfall at the Department of Veterans Affairs, threatening to delay veterans' compensation in October.

The American Legion calls on Congress to act before October's recess to fund this shortfall. Please visit The American Legion website to let your members of Congress know that the veteran community and Legion family demand accountability for this shortfall, and that veterans receive their compensation on October 1st. Veterans should not be denied their benefits simply because the VA was unable to properly account for the needs of veterans in the United States.  Click here to send your email to Congress today!
