Noblesville Post 45 receives $10,000 check

Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen (right) delivers a $10,000 check to American Legion Post 45 Commander John Morris.

Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen paid a visit to the city's American Legion Post 45 not to collect money but to give it away.

Post Commander John Morris was on hand to receive a check for $10,000. The donation was a part of monies raised during Noblesville's Annual Charity Banquet. The benefit raised monies for several charities including Post 45.

According to Commander Morris, the money will come in handy as the Post is in the process of moving to a historic Victorian Mansion in the heart of the city.

The new location will provide more space to help their American Legion programs and initiatives. The move is expected to take place in the Spring of 2023.
