The Indiana Veterans Emergency Transition System (IVETS) and Children's Education and Welfare Fund (CEWF) are also available to Indiana veterans.

Legislative Agenda

The American Legion, Department of Indiana legislative team and representatives work closely with our Indiana General Assembly to help shape bills and support legislation that we believe will improve the lives of our Hoosier veterans.

The Indiana Legion also partners with three of the other largest Congressionally chartered Veterans Service Organizations in the state, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and American Veterans, respectively.

Our department service officers are ready to assist you. Veterans don’t have to stand alone in the in their battle for benefits and medical care. DSO's help veterans and family members weed through the paperwork and bureaucracy of government in order to get the benefits and medical care deserved.
